this product is just a hype, I've had nothing but problems with it...plug and play bull!! Every time I shut my wireless laptop down and restart it the following day, I have to go downstairs and reset the modem, alpha shield and wireless router for me to get a fast connection. If I don't do this my vista program tells me on self diagnoses that the firewall between the modem and PC is causing a connection issue(it connects and disconnects all the time....until I go downstairs to reset everything).

Anybody have the same issue, my ISP is shaw, do there settings work with alphashield(behind the scenes)?

should I be shutting the router firewall off?....I can't see why as the company says this product is compatible with all firewalls??? My set up is modem then alpha shield then router, which I am operating a desktop computer via the router port and a laptop via wireless. the desktop doesn't experience any problems with connection speed or even connection to the net. the laptop connects to the net per the globe icon but but constantly cut out and in until I reset the whole system????.....GGrrrr!!! Been trying to figure this out for a long time to no avail!!!!

I wish I could tell you more , aside from the fact that I have had an Alpha Shield for 4 years and absolutely love it. Shaw is also my ISP and I know that a couple of years ago I had problems with "not connected to internet" kind of issues if I allowed the computer go to sleep with an open browser window. After much grief with ISP it seems to have been cleared up at their end , as I changed nothing and the problem went away.... finally! All I can say for certain from my experience , always assume Shaw before any other piece of the puzzle. It's only fair, they automatically assume it's our equipment when you call them with an issue.

Is this company still in business? I've been trying to contact customer support for weeks with no reply.

He,

i really don´t know if the company works today. But i know it takes 3 moths until i get my alphashield firewall. (Only with mutch mails and calls)
I belive they don´t produce only selling products of cargo.
